2010 Eaten alive!

2010 is about to leave us all. This year has gone faster than I can even remember and through it I have been eaten alive by leaches, mosquitos, walking zombies, brought to my knees in sleepless nights, burnt out, worked to the bone.. but through it all Its been probably been one of the most productive and satisfying years for me in a while!

I feel privlidged enough to have been apart of multiple collaborations for films and video clips amoungst other things and cant wait to smash out some killer stuff in 2011.

Thought I would post a few videos I was apart of over this year. I was able to work as a DP/colourist/effects for a few film clips/projects and work beside the best people around!

Short film love in 235 directed by Kiah Roache-Turner .. Love can be a crazy cycle of emotions! a couple meets and we follow their story of love over 2 minutes 35 secs! a hell of a day filming and so many costume changes it was ridiculous. this is one of my favourites….DP on this one//…

This is a metal clip for some of the boys over at Creations. Direction Colour and shot this one over at an abandoned warehouse I stumbled across one time. I was scared we would get attacked by random junkies or cops but we got away with it pretty well!! its password protected at the moment as they havnt even got it yet but check back in the next week or so and I will post up the pass.. or try n guess haha. but I’ll put up some screen shots so your not to distressed ha.

Bluemountains HipHop crew the Thundamentals monkey business around sydney in this pyro clip.way to many flames!! we nearly got busted buy security at darling harbour for using open flames in tight spaces without permission haha.. DP/Colourist for this one…

DP for this one .. lot of slow motion and hectic filming around the city…there were so many times I thought people would get angry for us filming them..apart from that there’s vampires, blood biting,freaks, hip hop, hotties, night life, and a whole lot of $$$ up in the air.. this is sydney through the eyes of Local Sydney rapper ”The Tounge -feat.-Joyride — Crazy”…enjoy.

I made this one for fun and somehow it attracted way to much attention on facebook and the web. hahaha. some crazy dancing I put together to DJ Medhi – Signatune (Thomas Bangalter Edit)

had a few experimental ideas I put together with a rad skater Daniel Gluskie and cut him up skateboarding at sydneys Cammeray skatepark shredding as he does.

I will finish with this last video.. its my motion graphics reel for 2010! haha. theres a lot of stuff in there and alot of work from my previous employer aussiebum. enjoy!

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!

I can’t say I like Zombies, or have ever sat through an entire blood bath zombie movie when my friends are feeling the feast for blood… none the less, last weekend I shot a zombie short film with ambitious director Kiah roache-turner..

It was3 days of hellish heat in the newcastle dry countryside, some serious lols from main lead actors yuri and Jay Gallagher possibly the funniest males on the planet , a brilliant crew and one smashing director to keep it all together. There were a few moments on set, im not sure if it was sun stroke or just really good production design and makeup when I was surrounded by zombies growling and snarling around tied up in the back of an old toyota ute by some brutal hunters… I just really thought I was filming something that was really happening and got caught up in the apocalyptic vibe of the film.

I cant give away the main core of the film as its a pretty top secret source of info right now, but what I can say is that it involves two wicked bounty hunter type guys killing zombies and occasionaly capturing them in a dry desolate apocalyptic world..Its going to be the most brutal thing to come out of Aus for sure. Stoked to have been apart of it and I’ve been given some limited distribution of photos that I took on set.. Hopefully I can draw up the guts to see it myself..so enjoy!

I recently found a time machine in my garage under some old boxes. After some general tinkering it transported me to the future (post end of the world – 2013) everyone is still alive, I landed in a fashion shoot for Australian Denim label Eleventh commandment….anyway. I shot a whole bunch of stuff and their sexy clothes look good. “Made in the future” this is what happened behind the scenes..

ohhh yep thats how we like it….This was one banging dance party for a christian event… all about living life to the extreme, but this D floor we ran for the bigexoday was pretty hot n heavy. the ‘Pressure cooker’ crazy dance moves and brutal electro beats from local djs swnscrm, mandex, DJ cuddles and a visit from the Los Torros crew. good times. sweat was dripping from the window to the wall, from the ceiling to the floor…hot hot heat. hot hot dam.
